Defective Wego Kite Tube Claims

During the period of October of 2005 through July of 2006, Wego Kite Tubes were sold through mail order catalogs and various distributors throughout the United States. SportsStuff became the largest manufacturer of these kite tubes, after the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association named SportsStuffs Wego Kite Tubes "Sports Product Of The Year". Since the release of this product from SportsStuff.com, numerous injuries and deaths have resulted from use of the product. SportsStuff.com has denied any defects in the product, but has pulled the item from the market in compliance with the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission).

The Wego Kite Tubes were recalled and officially pulled from the market on July 12, 2006. SportsStuff voluntarily recalled approximately 19,000 Wego Kite Tubes.
