As an arbitrator in small claims court William decides disputes between parties who desire an expeditious resolution to their cases and agree to have their matters decided by an arbitrator. William is charged with fairly and judiciously resolving these disputes and his decisions are final. William Hepner has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine yearly from 2012-2017. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations, and evaluations. William Hepner was selected by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys as a 10 Best Attorney for 2019.

William graduated magna cum laude in 1983 from the State University of Albany, and received his J.D. degree in 1991 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was Editor-In-Chief of Cardozo's international law journal, the Cardozo New Europe Law Review. He attended Cardozo after a career that included corporate sales and restaurant management, as well as professional singing. His diverse experience, prior to his many years of practicing law, gives him added insight into the make-up of juries and those he represents. William’s calm and unflappable demeanor in court gives him credibility with jurors, and allows him to withstand the rigors of trial without losing focus.

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP, understand the great need to limit the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing and safe health practices in order to protect our clients, our staff, and our fellow New Yorkers. Our team has complied with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s request to remain indoors during this difficult time and to minimize close contact with at-risk individuals.

However, while the state of New York is on PAUSE, the hardworking legal team at Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP, is still devoted to serving our clients’ needs. We have set up our employees to work remotely and to handle all ongoing cases from home. We are available to respond to any emails or calls about your case and are still actively pursuing compensation from at-fault parties.

In addition, we are always accepting new clients over the phone, by email, or through our contact form, and we are available to schedule a free consultation by video call. If you have a personal injury case and need compassionate and experienced representation, do not let Covid-19 stop you from pursuing compensation. Our attorneys are readily available to discuss all your legal options with you and will ensure all deadlines are met.

Despite the struggles of the past month, we have not forgotten about our duty to defend the rights of our fellow New Yorkers and are ready to face any challenges as they come. Come rain or shine, we are here to represent your interests when you need us most.
