WRSMH attorney William Hepner settled this case at mediation for $3 million. Plaintiff was injured when he fell from a scaffold. He unhooked his harness when he was moving on the scaffold. Defendants tried to argue that this made Plaintiff solely responsible for his accident. Bill convinced them that Plaintiff had to unhook because the harness he was provided with was not long enough to perform his job. Therefore, Defendants violated the labor law statute. Plaintiff had several surgical procedures, including a cervical fusion. No lost wages were claimed, and summary judgment motions were pending.
