Construction Accident - Ladder Fall
WRSMH attorney Bill Hepner secured a $1.25 million settlement at a mediation for our client, whose ladder slid on a wet surface at work, causing him to fall. He injured his shoulder and lower back and ended up having an arthroscopic surgery to his shoulder and a fusion surgery to his lower back. Bill successfully moved the court to find that the defendant was 100% responsible for the accident under the law.
Our client, who was 61 years old at the time of the accident, was to retire soon and had a very limited lost earnings claim. Our client’s age, and the fact that there was a tremendous amount of degeneration to his lumbar spine, created challenges in the case.
