Having spent six years of his career on the defense side at large defense firms, Michael has gained the unique perspective of understanding how insurance companies litigate and evaluate these cases, which places him in an advantageous position with respect to both negotiation and litigation. This background enables Michael to litigate cases aggressively and to achieve optimal results for his clients.

Some of Michael’s most notable results include: winning an appeal in the Appellate Division, First Department that lead to the reversal of the lower court’s decision dismissing a case against a client who fell from a height while washing windows at a commercial building; obtaining summary judgment for a property owner and dismissing a Labor Law section 240(1) claim against it where a worker fell partially through a scaffold in the Amtrak ventilation shaft; and obtaining summary judgment for a general contractor and dismissing a case against a worker who tripped on rebar at a construction site and sustained serious injuries.

Michael resides in Manhattan and enjoys traveling and playing and watching hockey.
