WRSMH attorney Michael Zisser recently obtained a $2,250,000 settlement in a case where our client, a 31-year-old tenant, was injured when the ceiling in the bedroom of her apartment collapsed on her, causing injuries to her head and neck. Michael was not only able to prove that the building had prior notice of the dangerous condition, but also that the building had a lengthy history of neglect and deplorable conditions that made the case un-triable for the defendant in front of a Bronx jury. As a result of the accident, Michael’s client sustained a mild traumatic brain injury and underwent a 1-level cervical fusion surgery.
