Queens Construction Accident
Attorney Michael Zisser recently obtained a settlement of $3,900,000 for a 44-year-old technician who fell several feet from a ladder while installing a security camera at a parking garage in Queens. As a result of the accident, the plaintiff had to undergo multiple lower back surgeries and revision surgeries due to chronic, unrelenting pain. Michael was able to obtain this settlement while summary judgment motions were pending despite there being significant issues of whether the plaintiff’s work constituted “construction” under the Labor Law and whether he was the sole proximate cause of the accident.
