WRSH Legal Learning Seminar at Bedford-Central Presbyterian Church

WRSH Law at Brooklyn ChurchOn Sunday, April 3, 2016, Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP held its first Legal Learning Seminar of the year at Bedford-Central Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY.

After a warm introduction from Pastor Neil, WRSH attorneys Paul Cordella and Eric Horn spoke to congregants about protecting their rights if they are involved in a personal injury matter. Mr. Cordella and Mr. Horn spoke candidly and enthusiastically about the importance of documenting an incident, whether it is an automobile accident, premises liability, or a work-related injury. Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP Secures $4 Million Settlement

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP is proud to announce that we’ve secured a $4 million settlement for one of our personal injury clients.

In January of 2010, plumber Benny Mitchell was working at a renovation site in Brooklyn. Benny suffered a serious injury one morning when a 200 pound over-head duct fell and struck him. Investigation found that the accident was caused by co-workers cutting suspension wires holding the up the duct. That same morning, the renovation site had another duct falling incident that nearly injured another worker just minutes before Benny was hurt. Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP was able to prove that the site violated New York Codes, Rules, and Regulations about over-head construction hazards. Read the rest »

Kenneth Halperin’s Work for the City Bar’s Cancer Advocacy Project

The City Bar is an affiliate of the New York City Bar Association that provides numerous avenues for attorneys and legal experts to give back to the community, creating a valuable resource for information and assistance for those who may have difficulty affording quality legal representation. WRSH Recovers $3.3 Million for Woman Severely Injured in Manhattan Truck Accident

New York City Personal InjuryNew York attorneys Philip Russotti and Kenneth Halperin of Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP recent settled a case for $3,300,000 on behalf of a 43-year-old woman who suffered permanent injuries in a truck accident.

The injured woman was riding in the passenger seat of her sister’s car that was headed to Staten Island when the accident occurred. A semi-truck drifted into the right lane of a two lane southbound road, striking the car and causing the woman’s sister to lose control of the vehicle. The car spun into the path of the truck, resulting in a second impact. Read the rest »
