Helicopter Crashes into Midtown Highrise
On Monday, June 10th, a helicopter crashed on the roof of a Midtown Manhattan office high-rise at 1:43 p.m. Only the pilot was aboard the helicopter when it came down on top of 787 Seventh Ave, a 51-story building located between West 51st and West 52nd streets, at the north end of Times Square.
The incident, close to the Rockefeller Center, sent emergency response vehicles swarming to the building and immediately evoked memories of the 9/11 attacks for many concerned New Yorkers.

Which Car Crashes Cause Traumatic Brain Injury?
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of traumatic brain injury (TBI) nationwide. Despite this fact, most of the research conducted on TBIs has been focused on sports-related injury, or injuries suffered by members of the armed forces. However, a new research project being conducted by the University of Arizona’s College of Engineering is looking to create a tool that can calculate the likelihood of someone getting a TBI after different types of traffic collisions.

As Speed Cameras Hit NYC, Remember to Stop for the Red
Be on the lookout on New York streets, because a fresh wave of traffic cameras are coming to almost every neighborhood in the Big Apple. In an effort to reduce speeding and reckless driving in residential areas, 2,000 speed cameras are being placed around the city, so you might want to think twice before racing to beat the light.
NYC’s Labor Laws: Why They Matter to Contractors
When it comes to construction, you’ll hardly find a better city to work in than New York City. Whether they’re making a single-family home or a commercial building, the construction industry in NYC has boomed in recent years. With the increase in business, especially a business that can be extremely dangerous, there’s no question why the New York State government has introduced several different measures to protect workers and victims while making it easier to hold business owners accountable.
Special Rules for Rideshare Companies in NYC
After experiencing the widespread presence of Uber, Lyft, and similar companies operating in most areas around the country, New York City has become one of the first cities to impose special regulations on the ridesharing giants. It took years of waiting, but the recent state budget has made specific provisions to allow for the expansion of ridesharing services into various NYC areas.
New York City’s Most Dangerous Intersections
Whether it’s on the sidewalk, the street, or the subway, there are countless people who cross busy intersections and put themselves at risk each day throughout New York City. With the tightly packed layout of NYC, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn there are a number of locations throughout the boroughs that are notably dangerous for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.
However, we understand that car accidents can happen anywhere, anytime. Especially in New York City.
