From the Brooklyn Bridge to SoHo to the Graybar Building, where our law firm is located, we’re proud of New York City and its people. But not so proud that we couldn’t award our $2,500 prize to the honest-to-goodness best scholarship applicant we found – who wasn’t from New York.
Well, who is she?
Jordan T. from Monument, Colorado, it’s you! Congratulations from our entire staff, from the office assistants to the trial attorneys! You’re taking this money to college to continue your engineering studies, and we wish you the best of luck. We were touched by the story you shared about Kathrine Johnson, who was your inspiration, and we applaud your goal to encourage more minority women to enter the STEM fields. Feel free to email us and keep in touch about your accomplishments!
After deciding on five finalists for the Foundation For Your Future Scholarship, we had a tough time narrowing it down to one winner. We had to go through many applications to get to this point, but we’re glad we did, because we read some truly wonderful things about very special people.
Please check out her essay on our scholarship winners page. And don’t forget to check back in on our blog and Facebook next year, when we will be offering another scholarship!
Finally, we want to thank everyone who applied this year. May you study hard yet have fun in your time at college, and never forget the importance of taking a breather once in a while. Best wishes, and see back in 2020!
