NY Carpenter Accident
A $2.5 million settlement was obtained by Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorneys Carmine Goncalves and Erin Hurley on the eve of jury selection for our client, a union carpenter. Our client was seriously injured when he stepped into an unmarked and inadequately covered opening, and his legs and lower body went through.
The case settled while summary judgment motions were pending. Our client sustained injuries to his shoulder, elbow, knee, neck, and lower back. He required arthroscopic surgeries to his shoulder and knee and a level one lumbar fusion.
