WRSMH attorney Michael Fitzpatrick secured a $500,000 settlement for a 43-year-old woman who tripped and fell on a raised flagstone on the sidewalk abutting a private home in Queens. Michael secured the settlement from the City of New York, which had failed to provide proof of actual notice to pedestrians besides the 2003 Big Apple map. The City argued that the map did show the defect involved in the accident, but Michael was able to overcome the City’s arguments and secure compensation for the plaintiff.
