Queens Construction Accident
Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Ross Barbour obtained a settlement of $2,750,000.00 for a 38-year-old carpenter who fell from a defective ladder at a jobsite in Queens. The plaintiff suffered serious injuries to his knees, neck, and back, and he eventually underwent spinal surgery as a result. Despite suffering from some lingering pain and disabilities, the plaintiff was able to return to employment thanks to his perseverance and diligent rehabilitation. Ross was still able to obtain a large settlement by establishing that the plaintiff was still going to suffer from some degree of pain and disability for the rest of his life, and he faces a reduced work-life expectancy because of his injuries.
