New York Construction Accident - Ladder Accident

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Andrew Wanger secured a $2,000,000 settlement for a laborer who was seriously injured on a construction site when she fell from an unsecured, unstable ladder. As a result of the accident, she underwent surgery to her lumbar and cervical spines as well as arthroscopic surgery to her wrist.

The defense contested liability, claiming our client never even used a ladder and the accident did not occur as she described. We contested this by arguing that they were using self-serving witnesses that were trying to protect their employer. The court held that these factual disputes would have to be resolved by a jury. However, despite these significant challenges, we obtained a favorable result.
