Workplace Injury

WRSMH attorney, Kenneth J. Halperin recently obtained an $825,000 settlement for an ironworker who was injured at a construction site. The accident occurred when the plaintiff and three other men were carrying a column to place in a column hole. While they were walking with the column the plaintiff fell into a small opening. He did not fall through the hole, but did sustain injuries to his lower back.

As a result of the accident plaintiff injured his back and required a lumbar spine fusion. Prior to this accident the plaintiff had three prior accidents where his lower back was injured. Ken was able to convince the defendant's insurance carrier to pay a significant settlement; however, by obtaining medical proof that but for this accident he would not have needed this surgery.
