Slip & Fall on Ice Patch - Premises Liability
Plaintiff, a 54 year old barber, was injured when he slipped and fell on an ice patch on the driveway of a commercial property in Yonkers, NY. As a result, he sustained a bimalleolar ankle fracture requiring surgery. An expert meteorologist was retained by our firm who established that the ice the plaintiff slipped on was present for at least 58 hours prior to the accident. We retained an expert orthopedic surgeon who established the severity of the injuries. The matter was settled by WRSMH attorney Michael Fitzpatrick during jury selection for $235,000.
