Trip and Fall on Broken Sidewalk
WRSMH attorney, Cliff Shapiro, obtained a settlement of approximately $250,000 for a 70-year-old woman who tripped and fell on a broken sidewalk in front of a parking lot. The defendants contended that the defect was trivial in nature and could not have caused the accident. As a result of the accident, the client sustained a fractured humerus, which required open reduction and internal fixation. She also sustained an avulsion fracture of the radial bases of the second and third proximal phalanges.
