Ambulette Involved in Accident with a Taxi Cab
Kenneth J. Halperin recently obtained an $850,000 settlement after jury selection for a woman who was injured when the ambulette that she was a passenger in was involved in an accident with a taxi cab. The woman was employed as a health care aide and was in the process of transporting one of her patients to a hospital when the accident occurred.
As a result of the accident, our client sustained reflex sympathetic dystrophy of her right upper extremity, which required multiple procedures to control the pain. This included physical therapy, the temporary insertion of an electronic pain control device and multiple pain killing injections.
