Sidewalk Slip, Trip and Fall
WRSMH of counsel David Hoffman obtained a settlement in the amount of $1,475,000 for a 54-year-old woman who slipped and fell on an uneven portion of the sidewalk. Our client suffered severe injuries which required several surgeries to recover. The Defendant, building owner, argued that the plaintiff’s injuries were not a result of her accident outside their building.
David Hoffman rebutted this argument and overcame all the defense council’s arguments. David successfully argued that the Plaintiff would not have received the several surgeries but for her fall on the sidewalk, which the defendant building owner failed to properly maintain. The matter settled at a mediation.
