Plaintiff tripped and fell in a bank in Brooklyn. A glass door had been shattered the night before and the glass completely removed; however, the door frame remained closed. The Bank posted no warning, nor did they attempt to keep the door open. As a result, it appeared as if the door was already opened; our client, in attempting to walk through, tripped over the door frame and severely twisted her back in attempting to break the fall. She ultimately required back surgery for herniated discs and continued to have pain following the accident.
