WRSMH Of Counsel attorney David M. Hoffman obtained a settlement in the amount of $2,750,000.00 for a 61-year-old tin knocker who was injured in an accident at a construction site. While installing ductwork on the 8th floor ceiling, the Plaintiff tripped and fell on an improperly secured plywood duct hole cover. When his foot went into the riser hole, the wood covering the hole flipped because it was not fastened to the ground. As a result, his foot went sideways into the riser hole, and he tripped and fell. Due to this incident, the Plaintiff suffered serious injuries to his neck, both knees, and lower back, requiring cervical spinal surgery and right knee surgery.
