Fall From Hospital Bed Causing Subdural Hematoma
Decedent was an 89 year-old executive who fell from a hospital bed causing a subdural hematoma (blood clot in the brain). We proved that the hospital and nurses failed to properly supervise and monitor the decedent both before and after his fall. Based upon files maintained by the Jury Verdict Reporter, this verdict is believed to be the highest New York State verdict ever awarded on behalf of an octogenarian.
