NY Workplace Accident
Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Jessica Thual secured an $825,000 settlement for a sanitation worker injured while moving heavy garbage containers in a Bronx yard. A container became caught on broken and uneven pavement and fell onto his leg, causing an ankle fracture that required surgical intervention.
Over time, he developed additional symptoms and ultimately underwent a minimally invasive, endoscopic lumbar discectomy, approximately five years after the accident.
Despite contested liability and challenges to the spine claims, the matter was resolved favorably for our client following mediation.
