Luigi Izzo, an attorney at Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, obtained a settlement in the amount $2,000,000 on behalf of our client, a 31-year-old woman from Rockland County. Our client was traveling on I-87 stopped in traffic when she was rear-ended by a semi-tractor trailer that was following too closely, causing a serious collision. As a result of the accident, our client suffered injuries to her neck and back which required surgical intervention. Defense counsel viewed damages in the amount $1,250,000, however after extensive negotiations, Luigi was able to close the case out at $2,000,000, $750,000 more than the carrier wanted to pay.
