Motor Vehicle Accident - Rear-End Collision
WRSMH obtained a settlement in Westchester County in the amount of $750,000 for a 49-year-old driver who was stopped at a traffic light when she was struck in the rear by a van. As a result of the accident, our client suffered serious injuries to her neck, back, and shoulders, requiring her to undergo physical therapy, pain management injections, and ultimately a lumbar laminectomy, discectomy, and arthroscopic surgery for torn ligaments in her shoulder.
During the course of the litigation, we were able to obtain summary judgment on the issue of liability against the defendants. Shortly before the start of trial, the firm was able to negotiate with the defendants’ attorneys in court, resulting in the settlement. Our client was able to return to work as a home health aide.
