Passenger Injury - Rear-Ended Motor Vehicle Accident
Cliff Shapiro and another WRSMH attorney recently negotiated a settlement in the amount of $1,750,000 for a 37 year old computer programmer from Brooklyn. Our client was a passenger in his friend’s vehicle and as they were proceeding along a street in Nassau County another driver struck their vehicle from the rear. The defendant driver claimed that a mechanical malfunction with his vehicle caused of the collision. As a result of the collision, our client suffered injuries to his cervical spine and lumbar spine and he had to have a major surgical procedure. The firm obtained a judgment from the trial Court that the defendant driver was negligent and that his negligence was the sole proximate cause of the collision. Shortly prior to the start of trial in this matter, Cliff and another WRSMH attorney were able to obtain a settlement in the amount of $1,750,000.
