Queens Construction Accident
Congratulations to Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Jay Wechsler, who recently settled a construction accident case for $2,900,000. Jay’s client was a 26 year-old construction worker who was working as a laborer on a construction site in Queens County. He was carrying construction material when the floor protection in the area, which was not affixed, moved as he walked by, causing him to fall down the stairs. Jay moved for and was granted summary judgment. Our client suffered injuries to his neck, shoulder and knee which required a cervical fusion, shoulder arthroscopy, and knee arthroscopy. Jay was able to settle the case at a pre-trial mediation.
