Douglas A. Milch, attorney at WRSMH, recently obtained a $1,225,000 settlement on behalf of a 62-year-old Kings County resident who was injured when the vehicle she was a passenger in was struck by an ambulance. Douglas was able to establish that the defendant’s vehicle had improperly approached and entered an intersection and could not definitively establish that emergency lights and sirens were engaged. The client sustained multiple rib fractures, causing a partially collapsed lung and cervical and lumbar fractures which eventually required an anterior cervical fusion.
