WRSMH attorney Konstantin Burshteyn secured a $1,200,000 settlement for our client who was involved in a motor vehicle accident in New York City. She was the operator of a car stopped in traffic which was sideswiped on the driver’s side by another motor vehicle. As a result of the accident, she injured her shoulder and neck. She was ultimately required to undergo surgical intervention, including a single-level cervical fusion.
Defendants argued that our client was responsible for the crash, and that the light impact which resulted in minimal property damage could not have caused her injuries. Defendants also contested that the damages were limited since our client worked off the books and was paid in cash, so lost wages would be difficult to prove. Konstantin placed the case on the trial calendar and ultimately resolved the case at a private mediation. The case was referred to WRSMH by a smaller NYC personal injury firm.
