New York City Bus Accident

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Narciso Garcia obtained a $1,275,000 Million Settlement at a private mediation for a client who was injured as a front seat passenger when the vehicle he was traveling in was involved in a collision with a municipal bus.

Despite video evidence suggesting the host vehicle was primarily at fault for attempting to merge into the lane where the bus was traveling, we successfully argued that the municipal bus company bore a share of the responsibility. By highlighting key factors such as the bus driver’s failure to notice or respond to the developing situation, we secured a favorable resolution, ensuring our client’s right to compensation was recognized.

Our client sustained injuries to his lumbar spine which ultimately required surgical intervention. The defendants at the mediation attempted to argue that our client’s lumbar injuries stemmed from two prior motor vehicle accidents he was involved in. The case was settled while awaiting trial.
