NY Construction Accident
Congratulations to Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP attorney Jay Wechsler, who recently settled a construction accident case for $4,750,000. Jay’s client was a laborer on a construction site who fell from a ladder that shifted after he received an electric shock. Jay moved for and was granted summary judgment.
Jay’s client suffered injuries to his left knee, which required two surgeries (an arthroscopic procedure and then a total knee arthroplasty) and his lower back, which required a 2 level lumbar fusion and ultimately required the implantation of a spinal cord stimulator. Jay was able to procure a favorable settlement at the third pre-trial mediation.
