$2,000,000 Recovery for Intersection Accident in Brooklyn

Motor Vehicle Accident - Intersection Accident

WRSH attorneys Joseph Stoduto and Andrea Borden were able to obtain a recovery after trial in the amount of $2,000,000 on behalf of our client, a 60-year-old housekeeper from Kings County. Our client was driving though an intersection in Brooklyn when a delivery truck veered off into her lane and struck her, causing a serious collision. The defendant driver claimed that our client caused the collision by driving while talking on her cellphone. As a result of the accident, our client suffered injuries to her neck that required surgery. The defendants’ insurance company offered only $250,000 to settle the case at a conference shortly prior to the trial. Andrea took the case to trial and won a verdict on the issue of liability, followed by a second verdict on the issue of damages, which resulted in a net recovery/judgment in the amount of $2,000,000.
