Douglas A. Milch, of counsel for Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP, recently obtained a $875,000.00 recovery for a 61-year-old Brooklyn resident who tripped and fell on uneven concrete at the defendant’s gas station. Douglas was able to obtain a settlement from both the gas station operator and the landowner despite their competing claims that each was responsible for the accident.
The settlement was welcomed by our client, since the accident resulted in a severe elbow injury necessitating surgery, and ultimately he lost his job as an NYC building inspector, since the City had declared him physically unable to continue in his position.
