Heart Attack and Death
We obtained a $675,000 settlement for our client who died in result of the Defendant's failure to diagnose coronary artery disease resulting in heart attack and death. Plaintiff claimed that her husband's internist failed to refer her husband to a cardiologist for further work-up and treatment when several EKG's performed by the internist indicated evidence of cardiac ischemia (a lack of blood flow to the coronary arteries). As a result, decedent died of a heart attack in his late 60's.
