Construction Accident
WRSMH attorney Douglas Milch recently obtained a settlement in the amount of $1,500,000 (and a waiver of over $200,000 in workers compensation liens) for a client Ironworker who injured his cervical spine after being struck by a temporary fence at his jobsite. The fence had been blown over by a gust of wind at a notoriously windy construction site. Douglas was able to settle the matter despite the fact that the accident took place over 8 years ago and the client’s prior attorneys had secured an offer of less than $50,000.
