Construction Accident - Workplace Injury
WRSMH attorneys Noah Katz and Kenneth Halperin together represented a 44-year-old construction worker who was working on the renovation of a building. Prior to his accident, other workers were demolishing a staircase leading to the basement. The staircase, however, was not properly secured and collapsed. Because our client was not provided with appropriate safety equipment and a harness, which could have prevented his fall, he fell 15 feet and sustained injuries to his neck and lower back. As a result of the accident, he underwent fusion surgery on his neck and back. He did not sustain any lost earnings. Noah and Kenneth successfully resolved the case very early in the litigation process, prior to the defendant’s depositions.
