Brooklyn Vehicle Accident
Douglas Milch, of counsel for Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP, recently obtained a $750,000 settlement for a 41-year-old Brooklyn resident after she sustained back injuries when her vehicle was struck by the defendant’s car. The plaintiff suffered a herniated cervical disc, which later required an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.
The defendants claimed the plaintiff’s injuries could not have happened since there was minimal damage to the plaintiff’s vehicle. Doug challenged this assertion, and retained a biomechanical expert to establish that these claims were not scientifically valid, and that the plaintiff’s injuries were a natural sequalae of this type of crash.
