Attorney Konstantin Burshteyn secured a $1,900,000 settlement for a 50-year-old female client who was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Nassau County. Our client was stopped at a stop sign as a backseat passenger in a cab when she was struck by a slow-moving vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop in time to avoid the impact. Our client injured her right shoulder and neck as a result of the accident. Ultimately, she underwent arthroscopic surgery on her shoulder and a single-level cervical fusion to address her radiating neck pain.

Defendants argued that our client could not have sustained the claimed injuries since the impact was light and our client's vehicle had minimal property damage. Defendants further contested that any injuries our client sustained were not related to the accident since she denied medical treatment at the time of the incident.

Following a failed mediation, Konstantin obtained summary judgment on liability and prepared the case for trial. He resolved the case on the eve of trial as he and the Defense counsel were preparing to select a jury in the Supreme Court of Nassau County. The case was referred to WRSMH by a smaller NYC personal injury firm.
