Aggressive Pit Bull Attack

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro, Moses & Halperin, LLP obtained a settlement in the amount of $225,000 on behalf of our client, a thirty-five year old woman from Bronx County. Our client was visiting a friend's apartment when an aggressive pit bull dog attacked and bit her inside the lobby of the apartment building.

Through our investigation, we were able to prove that the building owner had prior notice of the vicious propensities of this particular dog, but had failed to remove it from the premises, in violation of their own internal rules and regulations. As a result of the accident, our client suffered injuries to her shoulder which required surgery. Shortly prior to the trial of this matter, the firm was able to settle the case for the amount of $225,000.
