Our client, a 51 year old home attendant was injured when she tripped and landed on her knee while walking along the sidewalk abutting a vacant lot. The owner of the lot was identified and an action against the owner was filed. The accident was neither witnessed nor reported. Our client sought medical treatment three months after her accident for her ankle and eventually underwent neck surgery. A Note of Issue was filed and the matter was mediated without success.
