Car Accident - School Bus Accident
Cliff Shapiro and another WRSMH attorney were able to obtain a settlement of $1.4 million on behalf of our client, a 67-year-old man from Washington Heights who was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Our client was driving when his car was hit from behind by a school bus. Our client claimed to have sustained severe injuries to his lower back, requiring surgery. The defendant claimed that the impact was minimal and that the injuries were actually from other accidents in which our client was involved, prior to this accident. Despite our client’s previous accidents, we were successful at litigating the issue of liability and in obtaining $1.4 million at a mediation prior to trial.
