Douglas A. Milch, of Counsel for WRSMH, recently obtained a $500,000.00 settlement for a then 30-year-old client injured in a Brooklyn motor vehicle accident. Our client was driving in the left lane of a two-lane street, when the defendant’s vehicle made an abrupt left turn into our client’s lane after double parking, causing a sideswipe collision. As result of the accident, our client suffered injuries to his low back which required a “microsurgery.” The case settled during negotiations, after Douglas was able to establish that the defendant driver had violated basic safety protocol by failing to properly scan his rearview mirrors prior to attempting to leave the parked position.
