Rear End Collision

Plaintiffs, who were related and were approximately 20 years old at the time of the accident, were stopped in traffic on the Verrazano Bridge when their vehicle was impacted from the rear by a stopped pick up truck which had been impacted from the rear by a third vehicle, an Escalade. Plaintiff's argued that the Escalade failed to observe the traffic conditions on the bridge and failed to brake in time to avoid impacting the pick up truck which when impacted was pushed into the plaintiffs' vehicle. The plaintiffs both suffered neck and back injuries which required each of them to undergo percutaneous discectomies and to endure epidural injections. WRSMH attorney Michael Fitzpatrick settled this case at a mediation for $240,000.00.
